So I'm basically making this post to figure out what to do in this situation. Not sure if it's a stupid question but I couldn't find anything like it in previous posts on the sub. To make a long story short, I got an audition through the Daniel Hoff Agency without any past of working with them, and after submitting it,…

I am currently acting in a show at an Equity theatre and have thoroughly enjoyed observing my fellow actors during their warmups. I have even picked up some of their warmups and added them to my repertoire. This got me wondering, what are some of your favorite warmups?

I will be moving to Los Angeles in a month to pursue an acting career. I figured a good way to start out would be to try and get a job as a production assistant. I have no experience. I am trying to figure out how to get my foot...

Sometimes I wonder if the actors and actresses are actually good at acting or do they just the glory of "best actor" because they appear on screen more and we can see them more often. I literally don't know what good acting is though.

I am very annoyed at my nasally voice. My words tend to blend together. It's hard to understand me at lower volumes. When I am speaking loudly I am much more understandable. When I speak fast I have to over annunciate and it looks strange. When I really try I can sound alright for the most part but it is a real distrac…

Hi all - I'm an LA-based actor, trying to book commercials. A production company called Smartcraft Productions say they want to book me for a commercial for BonPrix, a UK-based online outlet. BonPrix is legit, but Smartcraft Productions feels shady: In particular, they want to send me money and then have me pay for my…

Well, I'm a newbie to Stage 32 looking to make connections with film people world-wide.I've had some very modest success in film to date, but I'm looking to explore the horizon, push the edges of the envelope, if I can, and widen the playing field for everyone whose invol…

Hi. I am from England and often see many British actors heading out to LA to continue their acting career. It seems that LA is the place to be for an actor, no matter where you are on the ladder of acting. I know that London is a great place for acting too, the same as New York, but it seems that LA truly trumps them b…

Hi all! I've been active in this sub for a little while now. The biggest thing I have heard here in LA thus far is "make your own stuff." Great. Then let's do it. I am a highly trained actor with an eye for directing and a talent for writing.
