I’m 23 years old and I figured now is a good a time as any to begin my journey as an actor. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try but never had the chance until now. I already have headshots and an Actors Access profile but as of now, I currently don’t have any reels. Anyone here know of any online acting classes I…

I have no experience with acting. If I start practicing now, how long will it take for me to start a career or become professional? I'm using this question to help set a backbone for my career plan. It's crazy how some celebrities started acting at young ages, like 5 or 7. I'm still a freshman in highschool, and my goa…

I’m 16 at the moment and I really want to become an actor but practically it seems way off First I’d need enough money to move somewhere for reputable classes (likely London or Manchester which is expensive), then I’d need to pay for classes while also balancing a job Then I’d have to wait a couple years to likely get…

Thanks for all of the great comments concerning my casting in this theatre production. As there was so much interest, I thought I'd drop a few notes every week to take you all through the production. First night is November 13. We had two Zoom meetings as a company, this week, and our first get-together in person. Over…

I received an Eco Cast from my agent for a role in major network's drama. I can pass as racially ambiguous, but this role is clearly meant for an ethnicity that I am not. While I may be able to pass, I don't morally feel comfortable auditioning for a role that is not my ethnicity, specifically because the story has to…

Whenever you see videos on voice actor home studios they usually use both a shotgun mic and a condenser microphone. Why do they have them both? Does it have something to do with noise rejection? How loud they can be? Different voices?

Hello you all, so i've always dream of working as a actress, both theater or on screen. I used to go alone watch this company in my hometown which consisted of a small group of young adults who portrayed several fairy tales for children, since than i wanted really bad to be like that. I had a plan and my family actuall…

I’m seeking actors for the roles of Joseph Garcin and Inez Serrano. Garcin is a pacifist journalist; thoughtful and humane. He was shot because of his involvement with a progressive newspaper in an authoritarian country. Inez is a postal worker. She is bitter and cynical and has a streak of sadism. She prefers women an…

I've started this journey on acting few months ago, and I've come to the point where I see how much I struggle in being spontaneous. And this happens to me also in real life, something I already knew, but I hoped and thought that it would have been better while acting.. but it's not. I find myself "in panic" if I don't…

the low frequency / inconsistency of auditions for me is honestly, hands down the most infuriatingly frustrating aspect of my acting journey. Because it’s not a debate, it’s a scene. Emotions rule. Only an actor can truly understand and emulate Trump’s, uh, nuances and improvisations.
