Refer an Actor, Earn 20 Percent

Most actors who join Web For Actors hear about it from another actor. The member referral program now reflects that properly: when someone joins through your share link, you earn 20 percent of every payment they make, for as long as they remain a member. That is the same rate our Actor Partners earn.

Give some of it away

You can pass part of your 20 percent to the person you are referring, as a discount on their plan. It comes out of your share, never out of theirs, and it is set in whole dollars so prices stay round. At the monthly list price of $15:

• give nothing: they pay $15 a month, you earn $3
• give $1: they pay $14, you earn $2
• give $2: they pay $13, you earn $1
• give $3: they pay $12, you earn nothing, and your friend gets the best price

Yearly plans work the same way in tens: $10, $20 or $30 off $150. You choose the amount on the Referrals page in your dashboard.

What your friend sees

When someone opens your link, the plans page opens with a card at the top showing your photo, your name and a link to your website, so they know who sent them. If you are giving a discount, the plan prices show the list price crossed out and the discounted price beside it, and checkout charges the discounted price. There is nothing for them to type or remember.

Getting paid

Payouts are set up on the same Referrals page. If you choose to be paid by check, it asks for the name and mailing address a check needs.

Who to send it to

The actors who get the most from a website are the ones already doing the work and missing a place to point people. Your class, your last cast, the reader you trade self-tapes with. A link in your email signature reaches people who already know your work, and the QR card referral covers the ones you meet in person, with tracking to show which ones came through.

And if a friend is not ready to pay for anything, that is fine too. A free actor website is still free.
