Replacing an image without losing its place

Replace swaps the file and keeps everything around it: the caption, the category, the position in the order, and any page already pointing at it. Use it when a photographer sends a better scan or a retouched version of something already on your site. Deleting the old one and uploading the new one instead loses all of that and puts the new image at the end of the gallery.
