Captions on photographs

A caption appears under the image on your site and is read by search engines, which is the quiet reason to write them. Say what the picture is: the production, the photographer, the year. Leave it blank and the image shows with no caption, which is fine for a headshot and a waste for a production still. The photographer's credit belongs here too, and on a headshot it is often the only place it appears.
