Few words about Lauren

Lauren Cato is a professional actress from London, United Kingdom. Her interests lie in theatre, film, TV and radio.

Bio

Lauren showed an interest in performing from a young age and over the years her passion for acting grew. Having attended a secondary school specialising in the Arts, Lauren developed her skills and was highlighted as an outstanding student.

Whilst training in 'BA Acting for Stage and Media' at the London College of Music (2011-14) she also completed a 'Stadium Arts' course with the National Youth Theatre (2012).

Most recently Cato presented at the reception to launch Rudolph Walker's Inter-School Drama Award (RWiSDA) in the House of Commons, interviewing actors including Rudolph Walker, Nitin Ganatra and Louise Coulsen. She also performed the UK premiere of one-woman play 'The Last Little Girl', written by Kay Adshead and directed by Michael Batz at Theatre503. She will be touring the play later this year, in Autumn/Winter.

Her past work includes starring in and co-writing the short film 'Hidden' (2015) which won Favourite Short Film at Screen Nation's Digital Media Awards (2015), a role in Simon Baker's feature film 'Night Bus' (2013) which won Best Feature at the British Independent Film Festival (2015) and playing the voice of the character Tara in the animation 'The CAP' (2014)

Supporting and connecting with young people is really important to Lauren; she often attends assemblies and workshops at her old secondary school, Kingsmead, to encourage and advise the students.
