Jesse Lee Leonard was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 12, 1983. He spent a good deal of time in the South, before returning to Ohio, where he was adopted at age 7, by Jim and Carol Leonard. Jesse developed a love of acting in school, where he created and performed in his own skits with his friends. Graduating high school at age 17, Jesse went to college, but due to an unfortunate series of events, left college. Jesse then joined the U.S. Army as Forward Observer in the Air Mobile Infantry. After 7 years in the U.S. Army, Jesse was retired from the Army, due to wounds received in combat in Baghdad, Iraq. After leaving the Army, Jesse rekindled his love of acting in college, first at Edison Community College, where he gained an Associates in General Education, and then at Miami University where he gained a B.A. in Political Science. After college, Jesse drove truck for about a year, until he realized that he was miserable. At the recommendation of his friends from Miami University, Jesse moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career.
