Durrell Lyons is a trained Actor, Dancer, and Spoken Word Artist, based out of Atlanta, GA by way of Wichita Falls TX. His most recent work includes a Co-Starring role on B.E.T's Zoe Ever After, a Co-Starring role on TVOne's biopic Miki Howard, a leading role in TVOnes's Fatal Attraction series, and a Co-Starring role in the award winning web series Threesome.
While acquiring a engineering technology degree at Savannah State University, Lyons kept close to the stage participating in various productions as a dancer with numerous Hip Hop dance ensembles, a runway model with a number of fashion troupes, and also as spoken word poet at countless events. After moving to Atlanta, he trained with multiple industry professionals including Lynn Stallings at Atlanta Workshop Players, and also trained with Victor Love at Evolv Atlanta.
Lyons has been a featured poet at a host of events including Emmy Award winning poet Tameika Harper's "Tameikafest", Emmyy Award winning poet Hank Stewart's Love Jones Poetry Night, and has also completed two books of poetry entitled "Unapologettically Honest", and "Open Moleskin".
He is now looking forward to participating in the next African American artist biopic, political drama, or romantic comedy.
