Hollywood Girl

Company: Dolce Zito Productions, La
Created by Courtney Zito, and based on her real life experiences in Los Angeles, Hollywood Girl follows the comically blundering, yet inspirationally uplifting, life of celebrity hopeful, and beautiful disaster, Quinn Monroe. A self-proclaimed cliché (aspiring actress by day and waitress by night), Quinn feels her dreams of silver screen stardom actualizing as a waking nightmare of never-ending obstacles and roadblocks. Broke, tired, confused and, constantly tripping over her mark, she's literally bruised, at times self-deprecating, but delightfully determined and never defeated. With life, heart, spirit and the carefree, fun-loving support of her three best friends, Quinn looks past the setbacks and black-and-blues to see her shining star on the walk of fame, which to her isn't too far ahead. Or maybe it is. She is determined to conquer Hollywood, but the road to stardom is full of missteps. "Two steps forward and ten steps back," like the show's original theme song says, "She's there for life: She's a Hollywood Girl."

About Dawn Melissa

With a BFA from NYU for Film and Television production, an MA from Regent's University London for Media Communication and a background in musical theatre, I guess one could say I'm all over the place. Overall, I am a storyteller. I collect experiences, travel to new places and learn new crafts with the idea that there might be a good story behind it. I write features, web series, short films, TV series and plays. I write about love, friendship, awkward moments, women, fantasy and sci-fi. I write about the people I meet who inspire me or motivate me or annoy me. I also blog about my real life as well. I am That Former Sidekick Girl telling "mostly true stories" and sharing "too much information" about friendship, love and all the embarrassing mistakes I made that made me who I am today. You can check out my blog here. And also stop by my Youtube Channel where I make funny videos about friendship. I also do music video parodies, a series about whining while drinking wine and more! I'm all over the place. And yet I'm exactly where I need to be.Thanks for stopping by!
