How do I get people to look at my website?
00:03:
First of all, people aren't gonna just find your website. And really, telling people to "check out my website" over and over and over again on social media is really not your best shot.
00:16:
Here are five ways to use social media to drive traffic to your website.
00:21:
Let's start with the obvious: Put it in your bio on all your social media accounts. Every platform allows you to put a link in your bio. And for actors, it should probably be your website. The more you network and build relationships using social media, the more attention you'll bring to that website link in your bio.
00:41:
Number two: Put your website address in your social media headers. So when you design your cover and header photos or your YouTube channel arts, include your website address.
00:52:
Number three: If you've started a blog on your website about your career or something else you're passionate about, make sure you include share buttons or click to tweet buttons on your post. The more people that share your content, the more eyes you'll have on your website.
01:08:
Number four: Follow interesting, like-minded people on a regular basis. If your link is in your bio, you'll get a steady stream of traffic going to your website.
01:19:
Number five: Pen a welcome tweet or post at the top of your timeline. This will serve as a little introduction to yourself. And don't forget to put a link to your website.
01:30:
Here's a bonus tip for you: Share other people's content and engage with the people who you want to see your site. Don't ask them to check out your website. If you create a genuine connection, then over time they'll get curious and click over to find out more about you.
