Steve McCarty

I have been an actor/filmmaker for the better part of two decades. It started as a child performing in the plays at my father’s church. In 2012, after serving honorably in the military I went back to school and received a degree in communications, including minors In journalism, Film/TV production and radio production. While attending Delta College in Stockton he participated in the productions or acted in 2 feature films, 8 short films, 6 of which he produced. The school projects I participated in won many awards and some were entered ]into film festivals, winning a notable 4th place at the Sacramento International Film Festival in 2013. During this period, he also worked for the African American Athletes Hall of Fame from 2012-2014 and for the last year served as their in-house photographer. His passion is storytelling, but he wears many hats. He is an artist, actor, photographer, writer and filmmaker that uses these mediums to tell his stories. His greatest passion is telling stories with a camera. Whether it is a promotional video, capturing a music video or making a short or feature he lets his love of storytelling lead the way.
