Aspiring filmmakers asked him relevant questions about the industry, and he answered each question in detail. I Just read the news today, that #Maighat a Marathi Feature Film directed by Ananth Mahadevan has been selected as India’s official selection for the Cannes Film Festival. I am so pleased that I just interviewed him a day ago. Ananth and Sanjay Pawar won the National Award (2010) for the best screenplay and dialogues for “Mee Sindhutai Sapkal” the film also won the Special Jury Award. Ananth’s film “Gour Hari Dastaan” was part of the Indian Panorama at the International Film Festival of India (2014) Goa, the IFFK International Film Festival of Kerala, The International Film Festival of Bangalore, and at the Film Festival of Chennai (2014). Ananth’s film, “Rough Book” (2016) deals with the problems with the education system in India, creating hurdles for growth. The film was very well received, by people as well as the media.
