Bio
Melanie Ann Bumpus was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. Despite being a Jersey girl all her life, Melanie has had California in her heart since she was a little girl and has always dreamed of working in Hollywood. She has always loved entertaining people and never missed a chance to sing in front of a crowd or perform a dance. When Melanie was 7 years old she told her parents she was going to win an Oscar. Melanie began taking acting classes at Broadway Bound Theatrical & Dance Center in Lyndhurst, NJ when she was in the third grade, as well as dance classes. She has been in several plays and musicals in her high school and town, and taken acting classes at the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts and with Xist Model & Talent Agency learning from experienced actors such as Heather Dilly and Ted Wrigley. She is also a red belt in martial arts. Melanie thanks Shawn Mendes for helping her come out of her comfort zone, teaching her that hard work pays off, and for her television debut as an extra in MTV's "Game Changer: Shawn Mendes" hosted by Traci Stumpf which premiered internationally on MTV on December 14, 2016.
